Independence Brewing officially began operations on Oct 4th, 2004 and the anniversary was able to be celebrated on the actual anniversary date for the first time. As with the previous parties, free beer was handed out and commemorative anniversary glasses, steins this year, were available for purchase. Although there were several other beer events occurring in Austin that day, about 400 people came out to help celebrate. 
Independence also has a monthly Brewery Tour and Beer Tasting on the first Saturday of every month from 1pm ~ 3pm.
